The year is 2357. Despite all the hopes of humanity, the past few decades have seen turbulent astronomical events and the unregulated use of a new technology called “solar mining” that has significantly contributed to the accelerated aging of our star. Our Sun is now rapidly approaching the end of its life cycle. Its fate - like all stars of this category - is to transform into a red giant.
The result will be an exponential increase in volume, which will cause the Sun to swallow Mercury, Venus and quite possibly even the Earth itself. The only hope for our race is to build a huge interstellar spaceship that would allow a fraction of humanity to emigrate to the “new Earth”. Fortunately, while searching for extrasolar planets, we have discovered a very promising world in the Trappist system.
In the game Interstellar Spaceship, you will become the leader of one of the world's most influential corporations, which has decided to seize the opportunity and contribute its part to the completion of this project.
Your goal is to become the leading player in the race to complete the spaceship before it's too late. The corporation that takes charge of this project will have the honor of helping humanity on its way to its new home.
The game Interstellar Spaceship is played in rounds, during which three phases alternate: the action phase, the rescue phase, and the government phase. During each round, you will explore the solar system and establish mining colonies on various planets, extract raw materials for the construction of the Interstellar ship, and try to save as much of the human race as possible. At the same time, you will also have to ensure the technological and economic development of your corporation.
