Raging Surf (強化拡張パック レイジングサーフ) is the name given to the third Japanese subset of the Scarlet & Violet Era, which released in Japan on September 22, 2023
This set continues the introduction of type-shifted Tera Pokémon ex, a feature that began in the previous Ruler of the Black Flame set. Notably, it reintroduces Technical Machine cards, which were last seen in the Rising Rivals expansion; in this set, they are categorized as Pokémon Tool cards.
Designed for use in Sealed format tournaments, Raging Surf includes reprints of essential cards like Switch and Rare Candy to facilitate deck building in such events. Each booster pack contains five cards, emphasizing its role in sealed play.
The set comprises 92 cards and features a variety of Legendary and Mythical Pokémon, as well as rare Pokémon like Gholdengo. Many cards from Raging Surf were later incorporated into the Paradox Rift expansion for international audiences.
