The once prosperous Roman Empire is falling apart. It's time for the leading Roman families to seize territory and strengthen their power! Will you prioritize vineyards or quarries? Or do you want something from everyone, plus an olive grove and oil press?
You and other members of the patrician families must make a good deal: offer your opponent a territory that he will like, or support his decision with a gem... But make sure that you get more in the end! Divide and trade territories, spy on your opponents and trade smartly! Create a prosperous province from parts of Rome and reach the peak of your glory!
Battle for Rome is an accessible strategy game based on the original "divide and conquer" mechanics that will win the hearts of ambitious patricians of all ages.
The goal of Battle for Rome is to build your own province from the parts of the Roman Empire that you share with other players. In each round, claim landscapes with buildings from other players: a larger set of landscapes will increase your territory, and a smaller set will make you richer, as you will receive a gem as a bonus. Add the acquired landscapes to your province. At the end of the game, you will receive as many points for each building that stands on/next to a landscape tile of the same type as the number of tiles of this landscape that are continuously connected to the building.
