Enter the legendary world of Middle-earth in a trick-taking card game! Together in this cooperative game, follow the story, meet new characters and complete special tasks on a quest through the first book of the beloved Lord of the Rings series.
Play your cards wisely as your team avoids danger and navigates exciting chapters from leaving the Shire to the fateful breakup of the Fellowship.
With multiple game modes and dozens of familiar playable characters like Gandalf, Tom Bombadil and Galadriel, no two adventures will be the same, so join the Fellowship and embark on a journey across Middle-earth!
The Fellowship of the Ring - Trick-Taking Game is a cooperative game for 1 to 4 players with 18 chapters based on the first part of JRR Tolkien's classic trilogy.
What is Trick-Taking Game?
The rules of this game are based on the rules of many classic games (Maria, Bridge, Euchre, Doppelkopf or Tarot). A trick is created by each player playing a card from their hand into the middle of the table. One player then wins the trick and takes the cards.
What is a cooperative game?
In a cooperative game, players must work together to complete each player's task, and they win or lose as a team.
What is a chapter?
Chapters are scenarios that together make up the story of The Fellowship of the Ring. They specify the characters that players must play as, special rules that they must follow, and tasks that must be completed to progress. They can be played in a single turn, but we recommend playing them in ascending order.
Players are given cards in their hands that represent the world of Middle-earth and how it is affected by the One Ring. By working together and playing them wisely, players will complete each character's task and win the game.
Individual deals of cards are called rounds, which are played as a series of tricks.
Players may only discuss information that is visible to everyone during setup and play. They may not discuss or show cards that are in their hand or in another player's hand.
