When did this happen? - Pop Culture (CZ/SK)
POPculture is a standalone expansion to the game When Did It Happen? It contains 100 new cards from the fields of music, film, computer games, famous brands, etc.
When Did It Happen? is a card game with a timeline. It is played with double-sided cards that have an event on one side and the year of the event on the other. Players do not see the dates of the events until they decide to place the cards on the timeline in one of two game modes.
COOPERATIVE GAME
Each player starts the game with 4 cards. On their turn, players must perform one of the following actions: Place 1 or 2 cards on the timeline, one at a time, or discard 1 card. At the end of their turn, players draw cards from the draw deck until they have 4 cards in front of them. Then, in clockwise order, the next player begins their turn. The goal of the game is to place as many cards as possible on the timeline. An attempt to place a card can have several results - the card is placed at the beginning of the timeline / the card is placed at the end of the timeline / the card is placed in the second row between two already placed cards / the card cannot be placed and the player will no longer be able to use it in the game.
Do not hesitate to communicate and discuss your cards as much as possible. Each player has the final say on whether to play or discard the cards in front of them during their turn, but they can ask their teammates for advice.
The more cards you place on the timeline as a team, the better the result you will achieve. There is a huge gap between the team of greenhorns and the time travelers.
COMPETITIVE GAME
In competitive play, players take turns getting rid of their dealt cards by placing them on the timeline as quickly as possible. Unlike cooperative play, here players must immediately announce where their event belongs on the timeline before revealing the card. If they place the card correctly, they get rid of it. If he places a card incorrectly, he removes it from the game, but must draw a new one in its place.
