Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG
The Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game (TCG) is published by Konami and was first released in Japan in 1999 and in the United States in 2002. The game is typically played by two players, although it can involve more participants in tournament settings or multiplayer formats.
In the game, players use decks of cards that feature monsters, spells, and traps to battle each other. The primary goal is to reduce your opponent’s Life Points (LP) to zero, thereby winning the duel.
There are three main types of cards in the game. Monster Cards are used to summon creatures to the field, which can either attack opponents or defend against attacks. These monsters have various attributes, types, and effects. Spell Cards have different effects that can alter the game state, such as drawing additional cards, destroying monsters, or modifying rules temporarily. Trap Cards are set face-down on the field and are activated in response to specific conditions, such as an opponent’s attack or the activation of another card.
The Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game features a wide range of card sets and expansions that introduce new cards and mechanics to the game. These sets often follow specific themes or tie into the anime series, providing a rich variety of cards for players and collectors alike.
